Artists and Creatives Health and Wellness Initiative

Artists and Creatives face greater challenges accessing medical coverage and managing unstable earnings, which makes them one of the most overlooked groups when it comes to getting care in the U.S. A 2013 web-based study by the Future of Music Coalition and the Artists Health Coverage Resource Center showed that, of 3,402 participants, 43% lacked coverage. This figure is more than twice the nationwide average of 18%. Several factors contribute to this gap when compared to the broader public.
