Dear Newark and Greater Newark Community,
Because of the Nor’easter impacting our region this weekend, Caresparc Community Connections has decided to postpone the 12th Annual Newark Sustainable Health & Wellness Village Festival, originally scheduled for Saturday, September 26, at Branch Brook Park – Prudential Concert Grove.
While we were incredibly excited to welcome everyone to the park this weekend, the safety and well-being of our community partners, vendors, volunteers, and festival attendees must come first—particularly the many seniors who participate in this special day.
The good news is that the Newark SHWV Festival is postponed, not canceled!
We are excited to announce that the festival has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, at a new indoor location, which we will announce next week.
We remain committed to delivering the vibrant, intergenerational health and wellness experience our community expects. On October 24, we look forward to bringing everyone together for live entertainment, free prizes and giveaways, free fresh produce, free vision screenings, health and wellness resources, community-based services, family activities, and full intergenerational engagement.
For more than a decade, the Newark Sustainable Health & Wellness Village Festival has brought health, wellness, resources, information, and joy directly into the community. A change in weather will not change that commitment!
