2024 SHWV Festival Art Contest Details

This year’s theme is health equity for Black and Brown communities, focusing on maternal-child health

● The contest runs from February 1, 2024 until April 30, 2024.

● All contestants are invited to attend the award ceremony luncheon at the State Theatre New Jersey (New Brunswick, NJ) on June 4, 2024, 11 am - 2 pm.

● All finalists will have their artwork framed and exhibited at the award ceremony luncheon and on the State Theatre New Jersey Marque.

● CCC will announce the winner at the award ceremony luncheon.

Contest Winner

● The contest winner will receive a $1,000.00 (one thousand) Scholarship and a Laptop from CCC to attend their chosen College, University, or vocational school.

● The winner will receive a complimentary overnight stay at the Atlantic City Show Boat Hotel and passes for the Island Waterpark at Showboat for a family of four.

● The winner will serve as the Student Statewide Festival Ambassador.

● The winner’s artwork will be prominently displayed in the Artist Village at each festival location across the state and on the official SHWV festival t-shirt.

● The winner will work alongside a professional muralist, integrating their work on the SHWV Festival traveling mural displayed at each festival location.
